HP LaserJet 4100n Printer Using HP LaserJet 4100n Toner Cartridge To Meet Your Printing Needs

The technology behind the HP LaserJet 4100n printer using LaserJet 4100n laser toners is not the newest technology available. These printers have been around since 2001 and are now only locatable as a refurbished machine. The device was very popular when first released and many users swear by them and would gladly settle for a refurbished printer over a new one any day.

The 4100n prints at 24 ppm. The resolution is 1200 dpi. The printer works on a 32 MB installed memory that can be expanded to 256 MB.

The main paper tray holds five hundred sheets. It is adjustable to hold several sizes of paper, from the A5 size to legal sized paper. There is also a manual feed that works with all these sizes as well. In addition, it can feed envelopes.

This printer is often described as a workhorse. It is rated at 150,000 pages as its monthly duty cycle. For this size printer, the standard is high even today. Just be sure to use LaserJet 4100n printer toner cartridges.

The printer will warn you if it is running low on toner. Additionally, it uses the included Embedded Virtual Machine. Java programs can be ran and printed directly form this printer without using your computer.

This printer is old enough that it still includes a parallel printer connection, as well as an Ethernet connection. The Ethernet connection allows the printer to be connected to your network. Drivers are available to allow use of this printer with most Windows OS as well as those for the Mac. These drivers are included on the CD-ROM.

The computer is able to be configured using the LCD panel by pressing the control buttons. In addition the port for the network can be selected here. If you prefer, remote management from the computer is available.

This was one of the first of HP’s printers to use the smart print supplies system. The system can tell you if sealing tape is left on the toner cartridge. It will then give instructions as to how to remedy the problem. When the toner gets low, an e-mail is sent by the printer to the person responsible to change toner. In addition, the machine can even order its own toner from the vendor.

If you open the front panel on this machine, you will see what has made it so popular for many years with owners. This printer was made when parts were made of metal instead of fragile plastic. Those older parts may make the printer weigh more than some of its newer counterparts, but they also mean that this machine is going to continue to work when some of those older ones have been scrapped. This is a machine that is worth the cost of refurbishing.

There are some features missing from the 4100n that have become standard on many of the newer printers. You will not have an automatic duplex printing capacity nor will you have automatic stapling. You will not have wireless connectivity that is a nice feature for laptop users. However, if you purchase the HP LaserJet 4100n printer, you will have a dependable printer that will last for many years even when used to print numerous prints every month.

No matter the volume of printing, the 4100n toner cartridges will respond perfectly every time, something users have come to expect with HP toner.  What you see on the page is what the toner puts there, so using quality means getting quality.
